Timothy Rosenkoetter's historical research is centered on Kant. He also works broadly in ethics, metaethics, and axiology. One strand of the historical work is a project that uses Kant's theoretical philosophy and logic to develop a new approach to his moral philosophy. Rosenkoetter has previously been a visiting professor at Dartmouth, NYU, Sewanee, and The University of Georgia. His degrees are from Harvard (BA), Pittsburgh (MA), and The University of Chicago (Ph.D.), during which time he also held various fellowships for study in Germany.
